Wigmore Rolls is a large forestry commission wood with
numerous tracks and paths around it. There is a nice pool with lillies
in summer. Deer are common here as are badgers and other wildlife. Some
large tracts on top of the hill have been cleared over the last few years.

It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the
main central track. Nearby are an antique mound to the west, and to the
east the ruins of Wigmore Castle, ancestral home of the Mortimer family,
powerful Marcher Lords after the Norman conquest.
