A forestry Commission wood covering a hill with various paths and tracks around and over it. Buzzards are a frequent sight here as are foxes badgers and deer. In summer abundant wild flowers and plenty of weirdly shaped mushrooms in the autumn. You can follow the path to the south to Stapleton wood. Occasionaly livestock strays onto the hill.
