Four Stones Grid ref SO 245 608
.Four stones set in a circle with their flat surfaces facing the middle. The whole site measures 4m by 3m and the stones vary between 1.2-1.9m high. The SW stone has three probable cupmarks carved into it. There is a gap between 2 of the stones, suggesting that there may originally have been a fifth boulder. Folklore suggests that the font in the nearby Old Radnor Church may once have filled this gap Bronze Age, SMR ref 1072 |
