PILLETH CHURCH
An original 13th century chamber of which probably the font and stoup also remain was elongated to the E and a W tower added in the 14th century. Other parts of the church from the 14th century include the E end side windows, the S doorway and the piscina. 15th century work includes the W window. A holy well can be found behind the tower. In the churchyard there is a large staircase. The church has recently been fully restored with an impressive new roof.
The three large pines further up the hill mark the site of the mass grave used to bury the bodies of those slain in the Battle of Pilleth in 1402.
